Cotecna’s Role in Ethiopia’s PVOC Programme
The PVOC programme is managed by the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise (ECAE) and aims to protect consumers and the environment by preventing the entry of unsafe or substandard products. Cotecna supports importers by verifying product compliance through inspections, testing, and documentation checks prior to shipment.
Importing regulated products without a valid COC may result in customs rejection and financial penalties.
How the Verification Process Works
